Beautiful

At church today, I sat in my classroom, waiting as the young women filed in. Most of these girls woke up today, probably too tired to put on makeup. My best friend laughed and said she was, "Au naturale". However, she then admitted it was just because she was lazy. I wore makeup today, not because I felt I had to have it on, but because I felt some eyeliner and mascara would bring out my eyes. But as I looked at each of these girls, in their bare faces, not one of them wasn't beautiful. They laughed with each other, welcomed visitors, participated freely, harassed their friend. Each of these girls were beautiful. I could see what makeup might have added to their natural glory, but I aslso saw what it couldn't. These girls are daughters of God, amazing creations with divine qualities. They are my friends, my sisters, and they are their own perfect.
